5AM Political Thoughts

Donald Trump is winning the presidential race in America. It makes me very sad and a little nervous. I really wish I had the power to stop what he is doing, but obviously I don’t. I only hope that by sharing posts, talking about politics, and writing this blog; maybe I can make a slight impact.

Well, when I woke up this morning, I jumped on Facebook because I could not fall back to sleep. I started seeing political posts mainly for Bernie Sanders and then I came across an article about a man who decided to go “undercover” at a Donald Trump Rally.

View story at Medium.com

After reading this article, I have been left with a “bad taste” in my mouth. This is definitely disturbing to say the least. This guy was brave and seriously had some guts to walk into a Trump rally and start socializing with his supporters. My social anxiety would be through the roof being surrounded by people who are judgmental, negative, and close-minded.

I hope people start to do the same thing as the man in the article and open their minds to another perspective. Hopefully for Bernie Sander’s message, because they definitely will feel the positive energy and good vibes associated with his words. Every time I think about Trump and his message, a darkness creeps in my mind as well. I don’t want to think about him anymore honestly. I want to focus on the good things going on and not stress about other truths at the moment. I could continue on with this post, but my thoughts have already gotten to me enough. I simply wanted to vent a little and share this article, because I think it is worth reading, especially if you are a Trump supporter.

Please realize you must be the change if you want see the change in the world and that’s what I am hoping to do in this life.

Humanity Rant

First of all, every single person needs to admit that they are under-educated and that their entire mindset has been flawed for the majority of their lives. How can you ever have an opinion, if it was molded for you?

Seriously, think for yourself, open your mind to insane ideas, and dig into everything that is going on in the world! How can people continue to sit around and be angry, bitter, and down right hateful towards a group ofpeople?! A lot of American’s think we are paying taxes for those who are on welfare or toward immigration, and yes some of our taxes are helping people! BIG FUCKING DEAL? WOW, why is that such a bad thing? Who cares if someone isn’t from here, good for them! Let them come here, the earth is free for all people. Borders, territories, countries, etc are all MAN MADE! The real problem here is that there are literally a handful of families dominating the entire world! They control the energy, the healthcare, the food, the education system, the big banks, the money supply, all the companies, and the media!

Basically, everything around us is a damn illusion put here by some greedy, evil bastards who only have selfish interests for profit. These people have trillions and trillions of dollars, their whole goal is to CONTROL EVERYTHING. But, hey let’s not worry about them, as long as we have our new electronics and taxes don’t get raised all is swell in our little world, oh yeah don’t allow those damn Mexicans to come take our jobs and steal our land, but WAIT A MINUTE. This country was STOLEN FROM THE PEOPLE WHO LIVED HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE! But, why worry about them right? It’s not like they are around anymore, WRONG. Native Americans are still here fighting for their rights as well!

What about the FACTS! THE PLANET IS BEING DESTROYED! PEOPLE ARE STARVING! And America has fucking comedians running to lead this country and currently ahead in the election! WOW, I am outraged about many things right now and let me tell you, I could care less who comes into this country. We have a responsibility, we are in charge of our entire existence right now. The future is most definitely not promised, and we are worried about making money to be apart of a system put into place for literally A HANDFUL OF FAMILIES to thrive while everyone else slaves their lives away. Hell, if you don’t believe me, follow the money trail, do your research, and you will see the truth.

Below is a small clip from Thrive. A highly recommended documentary!

First Time Voter (USA)

I am 23 years old and up until January of this year, I had no intentions of voting in this presidential election. I had been extremely bitter about anything to do with politics, economics, and the government in general.

My Old Mindset: The United States government is notorious for being corrupt, rigged, and all that jazz! Hell no, I wasn’t going to take any time to worry about it. Why bother right? There is no way my vote would even count, they already had it figured out for themselves. We are fucked. We are set up for failure. There’s nothing I could do to change things.  They have all the power anyway, there is no point to fight, because they have already won. I had seen many documentaries and knew about where the power was, I thought there was no hope for a future in the USA. Honestly, I had no idea what to do with mine due to the economy and what I know to be true. I feared the day my parents would no longer be here to help me. This stress subconsciously had been weighing me down for years and years, and I wasn’t even aware.

I was completely negative about the entire situation, especially when someone asked me about voting. I felt it was better to not be involved and find another way to change things in my own life, to hell with the country it was already failing.

Then, something amazing happened. I watched Bernie Sanders for the first time.

I almost couldn’t believe what I had just seen. I didn’t even take it seriously for awhile. I didn’t imagine he would ever be able to get nominated as a democrat. I didn’t really know what to think about him other than I respected him. Then, I kept seeing his face on my social media and on television. I seen how involved people were getting, so I gave it another look. I started watching videos on Youtube from his speeches from the past year. Then, I looked deeper and seen videos from years and years back. (30 years ago!) Wow, this man really has passion, heart, and soul! Most importantly, he has consistency. He really cares about his message and all people!

Before I knew it, I had become obsessed with Bernie Sanders and his message. Sanders gave me something I haven’t had in my life for many years, if ever. He gave me hope, faith, and ignited something inside of me that had always been there on these issues, I just didn’t realize it. Passion.

I have always had compassion for people. Equality is huge in my own personal views and I fight for in it my relationships and environments as well as at home and work. I believe in fairness for all people and an equal opportunity for anyone with a dream. Not only that, but I want to fight back against these evil people in charge of the big banks, corporations, and the Republicans of course. (I’ll get to that future blogs. Trust me.)

After watching several of Bernie’s debates over the past couple of weeks, I can say that I want this man to be the next president of the United States of America. I want to be proud to be apart of this country. I want to be involved in the change that America and the rest of the world needs! Honestly, I see at least one person every single day struggling and my heart breaks every time.  I am sick and tired of seeing people around me struggling for the simple things like education, housing, and food, that could easily be prevented.

This election is going to be apart of history. The truth has been exposed. I strongly believe a revolution is going to happen in all aspects of this country, because that is what is required to see change. “United we stand, or divided we will fall!”

Why I am Involved in Politics & Why You Should Be Too!

Why I Am Involved in Politics & Why You Should Be Too!

This is a very short list of questions that I strongly believe most of your answers are going to be YES. You may be wondering, well what does this have to do with politics, and why should I care. You may be thinking to yourself, man these are just ideas that will never happen. We have been conditioned to believe that these are JUST ideas, but what if we all get involved? What if, we say enough is enough, we deserve to live a decent life without struggling day in and day out!

Here are some quick questions to ask yourself before you read this blog post:

Do I want affordable healthcare?

Do I want to go to college without huge sums of debt?

Do I want to be able to make a decent living without working over 40 hours a week?

Do I have a dream in cooking, writing, music, travel or art?

Do I want clean energy and environment-friendly products?

Do I want to legalize marijuana?

Why I am getting involved:

I am 23 years old, I literally registered to vote at the end of January. I am brand new to politics, and may not have all my facts worked out yet. I do believe in equality for all people and that’s why I decided to start this section in my blog. I have a voice and I want to spread awareness to all people about what is going on in our government, our country, and the world in general through my writing. As of right now, I have a degree in Culinary Arts and work 30-40 hours a week has a server. I depend on tips from other people to make a living, not the government. I only make 2.13 an hour, some days I leave with under 50 dollars. I see maybe 15-25 dollars every two weeks from my hourly pay, because the government taxes the tips I make. When the restaurant is slow, I don’t make enough money to support myself or save any money. I am still living at home with my parents. Well, why not go back in the kitchen they say since that is what I went to college for? I make more money serving tables, because of working on the weekends. I never get the luxury of taking a weekend off, because I would lose the majority of my income. This job has zero benefits that are included with my pay that I am aware of. I am still on my mother’s healthcare insurance plan, thankfully, but I only have two more years, then I will be without healthcare. 400 dollars goes to my car payment, because I chose to get a new car that would be dependable and better for the environment, (Toyota Prius)and help me achieve my dream to travel the United States. One week of pay goes to my car payment, not including car insurance. (20,0000+ in debt from the car, in order to follow my dreams.) I spend quite a bit on food, because I want to be healthy and buy quality ingredients that won’t make me sick or contaminate my body, because certain companies do allow ingredients that cause cancer and other serious medical conditions into our grocery stores! Any extra money I have left goes into savings for my dream to travel. I don’t have any plans to move out of my house, because I can’t afford it on my own. YES, I am extremely fortunate compared to other people I know to be in this situation. I do not want to take that for granted!! I want to use any time I have to better myself and help other people. I am sick of being ripped off, cheated, mocked, and belittled by our government and those who are in it. I am choosing to fight back and plan to make it a life-long mission. I have educated myself by watching documentaries and online videos, listening to speeches, and reading books, articles, and blog posts. I am now involved in the political process, because I would like to go back to college in order to learn more and potentially have a better career. I want to travel the world without going into extreme debt.

Most of all, I want to a future for all people, including myself, that doesn’t result in working extremely long hours, with huge amounts of debt, affordable healthcare, housing, college, and overall cost of living! I am tired of being lied to by the government about EVERYTHING from food to the environment! It is time for me to fight back.

Here’s some quick education to help us all understand the seriousness of what is going on:

What is the definition of politics? The activities associated with the governance of a country or other area, especially the debate or conflict among individuals or parties having or hoping to achieve power.

Who has the power in our country? Well, that is easy right? The Democratic Party is currently in office, because Obama is president and he is a democrat.

What is Democracy? a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives.

Who is Congress? The national legislative body of a country;a formal meeting or series of meetings for discussion between delegates, especially those from a political party or labor union or from within a particular discipline.

Who is a Delegate? A person sent or authorized to represent others, in particular an elected representative sent to a conference.

The whole population votes for delegates as well!! If you don’t get involved, then you have no say in what happens in our government. You may be thinking, just like I did, well my vote doesn’t count anyways. We each have a civic duty to invest in, so that we be apart of the government and help everyone of us.  Yes, in a politically correct system, it does matter if you vote or not! BUT, we are faced with a harsh reality, our political process has became corrupt and only benefits a handful of people. Guess who?

Here are a few realistic-fictional scenarios:

Not Billy, who works two jobs down the street to be able to pay his bills, provide for himself, and pay off his student loans. Billy had to abandon his dream of being an artist because it doesn’t pay enough for him to make a living, resulting in emotional issues that he doesn’t have the money to deal with because he doesn’t have healthcare. Billy doesn’t have money for prescription drugs, so he risks being arrested, because he uses marijuana to help cope with his anxiety and depression. Billy doesn’t have enough time for a relationship and can’t start a family or follow his dream due to his current situation. Billy feels hopeless and doesn’t think his vote will matter, so he becomes bitter and refuses to get involved with the political campaign. He is just one man, anyways right?

Not Jose, who came to this country hoping to start a better life, but can’t get a decent paying job due to discrimination or maybe because he couldn’t afford to go to college, so he doesn’t meet certain job requirements for higher paying jobs. His parents came here illegally and live with Jose. They are both too old to work now, but can’t get on government programs, because they don’t have citizenship. Jose fears that they will be sent back to Mexico, if he can’t make enough money to provide for his family medical needs. Jose doesn’t think his vote matters, because he is not from here originally and has no motivation or hope in the government due to how he has been treated his entire life. Jose is scared for his parents and their future.

Not Ann, who is a retired senior struggling to afford basic living requirements such as groceries, medication, and other bills. Currently, she was diagnosed with a severe medical condition, but can’t afford to pay for the prescription drugs, therefore she is in pain everyday. She thinks that all her tax money is going to people on welfare (whom she thinks refuse to work on purpose)and immigrants who are here illegally. She has been conditioned to believe certain things, therefore she is hateful towards other races and close-minded to new belief systems. Ann is 65 years old and hasn’t seen any huge change in the government. Her faith in the government is gone, therefore she chooses not to vote anymore, because she doesn’t think it would change anything anyways.

So, who is really in control? If it’s not Billy, not Ann, and not Jose. That leaves us voters right? The people who choose to vote and have a voice in the government. DUH, how simple?

Well, if that was the case, then how come the middle-class is struggling? Why is all of this happening if we are the ones in control? Think about it! We see the billionaires with the fancy houses and nice cars. We see politicians and government officials living a lavish lifestyle, it is no secret. We have people who are in charge of these extremely wealthy corporations such as Walmart, Facebook, Apple, Nestle, etc whom seen to have it all! Why is that?

Why is it that some of these people are also a huge part of the political process, because they have chosen to donation large sums of money into the campaign process.

Well, why would they do that? Maybe, so that they can determine who gets elected. Why would they care? So, that they can have all the power! We have these same people making decisions in congress, because they have been elected into our government! WAIT, what?! Yes, these are the people who are representing the middle-class. We have people with more money than they know what to do with controlling the government and keeping all the profits for themselves. To answer the question, the top 1% is in control of everything. We are being governed by capitalism and oligarchy, not democracy.

Hmm, what is capitalism and oligarchy anyway?

Capitalism is an economic and political system in which a country’s trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit, rather than by the state.

Oligarchy is a form of government which consists of rule by an elite group who rule in their own interests, especially the accumulation of wealth and privilege. Only certain members of society have a valid voice in the government. This can reflect (but is not limited to) economic interests, a particular religious tradition (theocracy), or familial rule (monarchy).

It is time to take back control of our government and bring equality to all people. A revolution is required.

Revolutionary means that  the existing structure is overthrown by a completely new group. The new group can be very small – such as the military – or very large – as in a popular revolution. After a period of time, this ‘becomes’ one of the other type of government (unless there is another coup or uprising).

We have to start a political revolution!

That is the ONLY option we have. That is why I am voting for Bernie Sanders. I will be talking more about him and his message in blogs in the future. For now, here is his latest speech!

Please watch, especially if you have agreed with the above post. In my option, he is the only one fit to represent us. The other presidential candidates are apart of the old government and out-dated belief systems. We need a new government for the everyone, not just a handful of people who happen to be in the top 1%.
